Earn points, collect badges and bake better and better pizza

Making pizza is more than just a recipe. It's growth, experimentation, consistency and a ton of small wins along the way. That's why the Pizza Calculator introduces a system of points, weekly tasks, levels, rankings and badges that turns every bake into another culinary challenge.

Save a recipe? You earn points.
Rate your bake? You make progress.
Try biga, poolish, high hydration or long fermentation? You unlock more achievements.

It's a simple way to bake more often, try new techniques and see yourself become a better pizzaiolo week after week.

XP points — every bake matters

In the app, every activity brings you closer to the next level. You earn experience points for actions that genuinely develop your skills:

  • saving your own recipes,

  • publishing recipes for the community,

  • rating your bakes,

  • commenting and voting on other people's recipes,

  • adding flours to the shared database,

  • testing new methods and techniques.

The more actively you use the app, the faster your level grows. And the higher your level, the more satisfaction you get from your own progress.

Levels and ranks — from beginner to Gran Maestro

Your progress in the app translates into levels and ranks. You start as a Home Debutant, but with every bake, rating and experiment you get closer to the next titles.

Along the way you can become, among others:

  • a Dough Journeyman,

  • Pizzaiolo,

  • Master of Fermentation,

  • Maestro,

  • and finally even a Gran Maestro.

After a promotion, the app will show a special animation summarizing your progress. It's a little moment of glory after a job well done.

Weekly tasks

Every week you receive a set of new tasks. They encourage you to bake regularly and step outside your routine.

One week you might get a challenge related to rating a bake, another one with biga, high hydration, long fermentation or community activity.

Example tasks include:

  • rate your bake,

  • prepare a recipe with biga,

  • try high hydration,

  • plan a long fermentation,

  • vote on other users' recipes.

You can complete tasks in any order. They reset every week, so you always have a fresh reason to fire up the oven and try something new.

Starter missions — your first steps in the world of pizza

New users also receive special onboarding missions. It's a set of simple tasks that help you get to know the app and make use of its most important features.

You can earn rewards for:

  • saving your first recipe,

  • enabling fermentation notifications,

  • rating your first bake,

  • preparing a recipe with biga,

  • completing your profile,

  • adding a photo,

  • polishing your bio.

These missions never expire. You do them at your own pace, with no pressure.

Baking streak — consistency really pays off

The biggest progress comes when you bake regularly. That's why the app tracks your baking streak, meaning consecutive weeks in which you rate at least one bake.

If you keep the consistency going, you'll unlock special distinctions. Over time, your streak can become one of the most important elements of your profile.

It's a great motivation not to put off your next bake until "someday". Just one rated bake per week is enough to keep the streak alive.

Badges — show what you're really good at

Badges are special achievements that showcase your successes and baking style. You can earn them for various activities: from your first biga recipe, through high hydration, all the way to a spot in the monthly ranking.

Badges cover different categories:

Baking methods

Earn distinctions for using different methods, such as direct, biga or poolish. The more you experiment, the more achievements you can unlock.

Technique

Do you like high hydration, long fermentation or autolyse? The app will notice and reward it.

Community

Publish recipes, collect votes, comment and help grow the flour database. Your activity can be visible not only in points, but also in badges.

Perseverance

Every single bake matters. Badges for 10, 50 or 100 rated bakes show that you're truly in the game.

Quality

If your bake reaches the highest ratings in the most important aspects, you can earn an exceptional distinction for the perfect pizza.

Ranking

The best users of the month receive prestigious badges for podium places. It's a distinction for those who are the most active and consistent.

Some badges are easy to earn, others require time, consistency and solid commitment. That's exactly why they look great on a profile.

Monthly ranking — healthy competition for the ambitious

Each month the app tallies up users' activity and creates a ranking based on the XP points earned.

The best can earn special distinctions:

  • Champion of the Month for first place,

  • podium badges for second and third place,

  • additional prestigious achievements for consistently repeating success.

The ranking is public, so other users can see who was the most active in a given month.

It's not a race at all costs. It's motivation to bake more often, test more and share the results with the community.

Want to stay out of the ranking? You have a choice

Not everyone wants to take part in public competition — and that's perfectly fine.

In your profile settings you can hide yourself from the public ranking. You'll still earn XP, complete weekly tasks, develop your levels and unlock badges, but your name won't be visible in the listings.

You can change this decision at any time.

How to earn more points?

The simplest strategy is very pizza-like: bake, rate, improve and try new things.

You'll gain the most if you:

  • rate your bakes thoroughly,

  • publish your best recipes,

  • test different fermentation methods,

  • experiment with hydration and maturation time,

  • regularly complete weekly tasks,

  • get involved in the community.

It's not about clicking just for the points. It's about every activity helping you make better and better pizza.

Frequently asked questions

Can I lose XP?

In exceptional situations points may be revoked, for example if you delete the activity they were awarded for. On a day-to-day basis, however, XP stays with you and builds your long-term progress.

Are badges visible on the profile?

Yes. Earned badges appear in the achievements section of your profile. This way others can see which techniques you've mastered and which goals you've managed to reach.

Does the ranking reset every month?

Yes. The monthly ranking starts fresh each month, but your levels, ranks and badges stay with you permanently.

Why did my baking streak break?

The streak is counted based on rated bakes. Simply saving a recipe isn't enough. If you don't rate any bake in a given week, the streak starts over.

Bake. Rate. Earn. Grow.

The system of points, tasks and badges was created to make baking pizza even more engaging. Every recipe, every attempt and every bake is a step forward.

Whether you're just starting out or already have dozens of bakes behind you — the app will help you track progress, maintain consistency and get more fun out of making pizza.

Fire up the oven, save a recipe and start earning your first badges.

Bardzo fajny pomysł. Zmobilizowałem się do przetestowania bigi po raz pierwszy. Dzięki temu będe próbował nowych rzeczy i poglebiał swoją wiedzę. Fajna motywacja do dzielenia się z innymi i wymiany doświadczeń. Następnym razem będe próbował poolisha i może nawet odważę się zrobić wysoką hydratację.
